Interfaith Climate Alliance
The Interfaith Climate Alliance is a group of representatives from various denominations and faith traditions in Northwest Arkansas who meet monthly to exchange information on events related to climate change and initiatives that are taken to improve air quality, reduce the rate of global temperature rise and reduce dependence on fossil fuels. Most activities of the group focus on education.
Recent meetings have centered around the coal fired power plant rate increase, book studies using Here Comes the Sun, plastic recycling and the proposed Ramay Junior High construction. In April we are organizing a tree giveaway to celebrate Arbor Day.
All are welcome to join the meetings on the second Thursday of the month from 7-8:30 PM. This is not an incorporated group and there is not a website. Unity of Fayetteville will host the April 9th meeting.
You can visit with Roswitha Collins and Richard Pruiksma on Sunday mornings at Unity of Fayetteville for more information as they are regular attendees. Or email unityfayar@gmail.com
